Our Vision
1
Public Awareness
Through organizing the concert and a series of related promotional activities, our aim is to increase public awareness of Angelman Syndrome. This will help reduce misconceptions about this rare disorder and encourage more people to care for and support the patients and their families.
2
Raise Fund
These funds will contribute towards improving the quality of life for patients and providing them with better medical care and community support. Furthermore, they may even contribute to research efforts aimed at finding a cure for this rare disorder.
3
Community Cohesion
This concert will serve as a platform to connect various segments of the community, allowing for collective care and support for individuals with Angelman Syndrome. We hope that this event can foster connections among people and create a warm, caring, and inclusive atmosphere.
What is
Angelman Syndrome
Angelman Syndrome is a rare neurogenetic disorder characterized by developmental and intellectual disabilities. Currently, there is no cure for Angelman Syndrome, and patients and their families face significant challenges and uncertainties in terms of the disease and available treatments. They greatly need the attention and support of the public.
The incidence rate of Angelman Syndrome is approximately 1 in every 12,000 to 20,000 individuals. Currently, there is no cure for Angelman Syndrome, but there are ongoing medical research efforts related to pharmaceutical treatments. The existing approaches primarily focus on managing the symptoms of the condition. For example, doctors may prescribe anti-seizure medications to control seizures. Early intervention and supportive therapies can also help improve the quality of life for patients.
